But while his predecessors were national heroes, he is a pariah among the citizens he protects, who bitterly complain about the noise and destruction of property he causes."

Thus begins the synopsis for "Big Man Japan" in Apple.com's movie trailer section. I must say, I really don't know what to think about this movie. Something tells me I'm not going to like it, but being who I am, it is inevitable that I will go see it. Probably twice.

Am I the only one who thinks that Daisato looks a little like Beat Takeshi? Nobody? Yeah, it's probably just me.

In keeping with the beliefs of the ancient Egyptians, who buried their pharaohs with all their treasured possessions for their journey to the after life, mobile phones are providing bereaved Japanese a channel to maintain contact with their loved ones after they pass on to the other side.

Through modern technology, the concept of reaching out and touching someone has now gone further than anyone could have ever predicted.

Japanese tombstone maker, Ishinokoe has developed a new tombstone that will contain a scanable bar-code behind a lockable door on the tombstones, allowing family members and friends to scan them with their mobile phones.

Once the bar-code is scanned, the phone will serve as an electronic scrapbook, providing a means for relatives to post and view different items that reflect on the life of their departed loved one, such as holiday photos.

This drastically alters the concept of a tomb, as it no longer will just store the remains of a loved one; it will now serve to honor that person’s life.

The stones are expected to go on sale next month and will cost a mere one million yen ($10,010 US).

In the town of Shingo rests something I bet you never would have guessed. There lies the last resting place of Jesus, and there with it, are the descendants of a messiac legacy. According to some records found in 1935, the small town of Shingo, Aomori prefecture, Japan, is the final destination of Jesus Christ. In a statement, Mr Sawaguchi, wasn't really planning anything for Christmas.

"I'm not really planning anything at all for the 25th as it doesn't really matter to us," said 52-year-old Mr Sawaguchi. "I know I am descended from Jesus but as a Buddhist it's just not all that important."

According to the story, Jesus had come to Japan when he was 21. He assumed a new name, Daitenku Taro Jurai and learned Japanese. He gained an affinity to the Japanese people. I mean who wouldn't right? It seems that everyone who goes to Japan seems to become enchanted by life there.

Eleven years later, he returns and is beset upon by the Romans. Now here's where we go different here. But the Romans instead, got the wrong man and crucified his apparently adopted brother, Isikuri, to the cross. Jesus fled to Japan and spent the rest of his days there, living until the age of 106 and having 3 daughters.

I say judge for yourself. Could they really be the last descendants of Jesus?

Well, Bandai has started a new line of products to help people do the things they've always wanted to try…

Earlier this month, Bandai released a new shampoo fragrance: Beer.

This body shampoo sells in single-serve bottles. Just add hot water, shake, and celebrate in the shower.

According to Bandai, the beer smell comes from actual hops extract. The beer shampoo is intended to simulate the act of pouring a bottle of beer on ones self (or a friend), but without the consequences (read: messiness) that comes with doing it with real beer.
