Freaky Japan is about all the weird things and topics that the Japanese people seem to do. Oddly enough, everyone probably thinks to do such odd things, but only the Japanese people act on it.
The idea for this blog came about during one of Yoshi's and Danalyn's IM sessions that went something like this:
[danalyn]: <insert link to weird japanese product>
[yoshi]: um WTF?
[dalayn]: That's what I said.
[yoshi]: only the freaking japanese would ask that shit
[yoshi]: that goes up there with weird japanese shit i think
[danalyn]: japanese are crazy
[yoshi]: maybe we should start up a weird shit from japan blog
[danalyn]: hahaha
And a week later, here we are.
